Panasonic SF4D-F95-01 is a sensor array designed for finger-protection with intrinsic safety features, achieving safety levels of PL e / SIL3. It is a compact and robust light curtain sensor that includes an interference prevention function, external device monitoring capability compatible with 8-core or 12-core cables, an interlock function with options for manual or auto reset, and an override function available with a 12-core cable. The housing is made of aluminum, while the sensing surface is constructed from polycarbonate resin and stainless steel SUS304, with nylon used for the upper and lower caps. This sensor comes pre-equipped with a connector for ease of installation. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. The protective height of the sensor is 950 mm. It features 2 x digital outputs (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA) for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2 and 1 x digital output (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA). The sensing distance ranges from 20cm to 7m in standard mode and 80cm to 12m in long mode, with a detectable object size minimum of 14mm. The current consumption is 120mA (0.12 A) for the emitter and 160mA (0.16 A) for the receiver. It utilizes infrared light with a wavelength of 850 nm for detection.
