Panasonic SF4D-F23 is a compact and robust finger-protection intrinsically safe safety light curtain sensor designed for a variety of safety applications. It features an aluminium housing with a sensing surface made of polycarbonate resin and stainless steel SUS304, and nylon upper and lower caps. This sensor is equipped with an interference prevention function, external device monitoring function compatible with 8-core or 12-core cables, an interlock function with manual or auto reset options, an override function for 12-core cable configurations, and a fixed blanking function. It connects via a pre-equipped connector and operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C. The SF4D-F23 offers a degree of protection rated at IP67 and has a protective height of 230 mm. It includes 2 digital outputs (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA) for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2, and 1 digital output (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA). The sensing distance ranges from 20cm to 7m in long mode, and it can detect objects as small as 14mm with its infrared light source at a wavelength of 850 nm. The current consumption is rated at 110mA (0.11 A) for the emitter and 130mA (0.13 A) for the receiver.
