Panasonic SF4D-F31-01 is a compact and robust finger-protection intrinsically safe safety light curtain sensor designed for a variety of protective applications. It features an aluminium housing with a sensing surface made of polycarbonate resin and stainless steel SUS304, and nylon upper and lower caps. This sensor is equipped with an interference prevention function, external device monitoring capability using an 8-core or 12-core cable, an interlock function with manual or auto reset options, and an override function available with a 12-core cable. It connects via a pre-equipped connector and operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C. The SF4D-F31-01 offers a degree of protection rated at IP67 and has a protective height of 310 mm. It provides two digital outputs (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA) for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2 and one digital output (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA). The sensing distance ranges from 20cm to 7m in long mode and from 80cm to 12m for extended sensing, with a detectable object size of 14mm. Current consumption is 120mA (0.12 A) for the emitter and 130mA (0.13 A) for the receiver. The light emitted is infrared (IR) with a wavelength of 850 nm.
