Panasonic SF4C-F31-J05 is a sensor array designed for finger-protection and intrinsically safe applications, meeting safety standards of Category 4 / PL e / SIL3. It features an external device monitoring function, ELCA function for reducing mutual interference automatically, an interlock function with manual or auto reset, an override function through a 12-core cable, and a fixed blanking function. The housing is made of polycarbonate, with the sensing surface being a polycarbonate alloy. It connects via a pre-wired 0.5m / 50cm 12-core 0.15mm2 heat-resistant PVC cable ending in an M12 connector. This sensor offers a degree of protection rated at IP65. The protective height is 320 mm, and it includes 2 x digital outputs (Selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA) for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2, and 1 x digital output (Selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA). It has a sensing distance range of 0.1m-3m (100-3000mm or 0.326-9.843ft), uses infrared (IR) light with a wavelength of 855 nm, and can detect objects as small as 14mm (0.551"). The response times are 90ms / 0.09 s for ON and 9ms / 0.009 s for OFF.
