Panasonic SF4C-H8 is a sensor array designed for hand-protection and intrinsically safe applications, meeting safety Category 4 / PL e / SIL3 standards. It features an external device monitoring function, ELCA function for reducing mutual interference automatically, an interlock function with manual or auto reset, an override function through a 12-core cable, and a fixed blanking function. The housing is made of polycarbonate, with the sensing surface being a polycarbonate alloy. It has a length of 5m and comes pre-wired with a 5m 8-core 0.15mm2 heat-resistant PVC cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The SF4C-H8 offers a degree of protection rated at IP65 and has a net height of 160 mm for the protective height. It includes 2 x digital outputs (Selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA) for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2 and 1 x digital output (Selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA). The sensing distance ranges from 0.1m to 3m (100-3000mm or 0.326-9.843ft), utilizing infrared (IR) light with a wavelength of 855 nm.
