Panasonic EX-17-C5 is a photo-electric sensor designed with a polyethylene terephthalate housing, polyalylate lens, and bifurcation, ensuring durability and clarity for sensing operations. It operates with a current consumption of 25mA / 0.025 A and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, suitable for challenging environments. This sensor emits red light and can detect opaque objects as small as 2mm / 0.079". It features an orange LED for output indication, a red LED for incident beam notification, and a green LED for stable light reception or dark condition indication. With a rapid response time of 0.5ms / 0.0005 s and a single digital output (NPN open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA), it provides quick and reliable signaling. The EX-17-C5 operates in both Light-ON and Dark-ON modes, with a sensing distance of up to 0.5m / 50cm / 500mm / 19.685in. It includes protection against outputs short-circuiting and features an ultra-slim design with front sensing and built-in amplification for efficient operation. The sensor is connected via a pre-wired 5m 3-core (2-core on emitter side) 0.1mm2 cabtyre cable with bare end flying leads, and operates at a wavelength of 680 nm, making it versatile for various applications.
