Panasonic EX-13EA-C5 is a photo-electric sensor designed with a polyethylene terephthalate housing and a polyalylate lens. It operates with a current consumption of 10mA / 0.01 A for both the emitter and receiver. This sensor offers a degree of protection rated at IP67 and emits red light for detection purposes. It is capable of detecting opaque objects as small as 2mm / 0.079". The unit features an orange LED that lights up when the output is ON and a green LED that indicates a stable light received or stable dark condition. With a response time of 0.5ms / 0.0005 s and a single digital output (NPN open-collector / 24Vdc / 50mA), it operates in Light-ON mode. The sensing distance is set at 0.5m / 50cm / 500mm / 19.685in. It includes protection functions such as outputs short-circuit protection and is characterized by its ultra-slim design with side sensing and built-in amplification. The connection is facilitated by a pre-wired 5m 3-core (2-core on emitter side) 0.1mm2 cabtyre cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The wavelength of the emitted light is 680 nm.
