Panasonic EX-L291-P-J-Y is a photo-electric sensor constructed from PBT for the case and glass for the lens, designed to operate within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55 °C. It has a current consumption of 15mA (0.015 A) and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. The sensor features a detection spot size of 6mm x 4mm, with a red light color and a detectable object size of 25mm. It includes a visual position indicator with an orange LED for operation and a green LED for stability. The response time of the sensor is 500µs (0.0005 s), and it provides 1 x digital output (PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 50mA). It supports both Light-ON and Dark-ON operating modes, with a sensing distance of up to 4m. Protection functions include outputs short-circuit protection and inverse polarity protection. This sensor is characterized by its long sensing range, ultra-compact laser (Class 1) with a built-in amplifier, and continuously variable sensitivity adjustment. It comes pre-wired with an M8 connector pigtail, featuring 4 cores for the cable and 2 cores for the emitter in terms of circuitry. The wavelength of the laser is 655 nm.
