EX-L221-J Panasonic Retroreflective Sensors

Panasonic EX-L221-J is a photo-electric sensor constructed from PBT for the case and glass for the lens, designed to operate within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C. It has a current consumption of 15mA (0.015 A) and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. This sensor emits red light with a detectable object size of 25mm and features an orange LED for operation indication and a green LED for stability indication. It boasts a rapid response time of 500µs (0.0005 s) and includes 1 digital output (NPN open-collector / 24Vdc / 50mA). The EX-L221-J operates in both Light-ON and Dark-ON modes, with a sensing distance ranging from 4.5cm to 30cm (45mm-300mm). It is equipped with protection functions against outputs short-circuit and inverse polarity. This ultra-compact laser (Class 1) sensor with a built-in amplifier is designed for minute object detection and features continuously variable sensitivity adjustment. It connects via a pre-wired M8 connector pigtail, with the cable having 4 cores for the receiver and 2 cores for the emitter. The sensor has a 1mm diameter spot with a wavelength of 655 nm.
