Panasonic EX-L291-C5-Y is a photo-electric sensor constructed from PBT for the case and glass for the lens, designed to operate within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C. It has a current consumption of 15mA / 0.015 A and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. The sensor features a detection spot size of 6mm x 4mm and is capable of detecting objects as small as 25mm with a sensing distance of up to 4m. It emits red light with a wavelength of 655 nm and includes an orange LED to indicate operation and a green LED to signal stability. The response time of the sensor is 500µs / 0.0005 s, and it provides one digital output (NPN open-collector / 24Vdc / 50mA). It supports both Light-ON and Dark-ON operating modes. The sensor is equipped with protection functions against outputs short-circuit and inverse polarity. It features a long sensing range, an ultra-compact laser (Class 1) with a built-in amplifier, and continuously variable sensitivity adjustment. The connection is facilitated by a pre-wired 5m 4-core 0.15mm2 cabtyre cable with bare end flying leads, incorporating 4 cores for the cable and 2 cores for the emitter in terms of circuitry.
