Panasonic ST4-A1-J02 is a photo-electric sensor designed for intrinsically safe applications, meeting Category 4 / PL e / SIL3 safety requirements. This sensor is an emitter+receiver pair housed in PBT Polybutylene terephthalate with an acrylic lens. It features a compact length of 0.2m / 20cm and is pre-wired with a 0.2m / 20cm shielded cable pigtailed with a connector for easy installation. The ST4-A1-J02 offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, making it suitable for various environmental conditions. It has a sensing distance range from 0.1m to 15m (100-15000mm or 0.326-49.213ft). The emitter's current consumption is 11mA (0.011 A), and the receiver's is 9mA (0.009 A). This sensor operates with an infrared (IR) light at a wavelength of 870 nm.
