Panasonic SF4B-H64C is a sensor array designed for hand-protection and intrinsically safe applications, meeting safety Category 4 / PL e / SIL3 standards. It features a light curtain sensor with an emission halt function, external device monitoring, ELCA function for reduced mutual interference, interlock with manual or auto reset, an override function through a 12-core cable, and a large multi-purpose indicator for muting settings. Constructed from polycarbonate housing, it has a protective height of 1303.4 mm and comes pre-wired with a 5m 8-core 0.15mm2 heat-resistant PVC cable with bare end flying leads. The SF4B-H64C offers an IP65 degree of protection, two digital outputs for safety (OSSD1+OSSD2) and one additional digital output, all selectable between NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc, with current ratings of 60-200mA and 100mA respectively. It operates within a sensing distance of 0.3m to 7m, has a current consumption of 85mA for the emitter and 120mA for the receiver, uses infrared light with a wavelength of 850 nm, and can detect objects as small as 25mm. The sensor's response times are 80ms to 90ms for turning on and 14ms for turning off, and it includes output short-circuit protection.
