Panasonic EX-Z12A is a photo-electric sensor designed with a PBT housing and a polycarbonate lens, suitable for operating in ambient air temperatures ranging from -10 to +55 °C. It offers a degree of protection rated at IP67 and utilizes red light for detection, capable of identifying objects as small as 0.5mm. This sensor features an orange LED for operation indication and a green LED for stability, ensuring clear visual feedback. With a response time of 500µs (0.0005 s) and equipped with 1 x digital output (NPN open-collector / 24Vdc / 20mA), it operates in Light-ON mode. The EX-Z12A boasts a sensing distance of 0.2m (20cm, 200mm) and includes protection against outputs short-circuit. It is characterized as an ultra-miniature photoelectric sensor thru-beam emitter+receiver pair with side sensing and built-in amplification. The connection is facilitated by a pre-wired 2m 3-core (2-core on emitter side) 0.1mm2 cabtyre cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The cable consists of 2 cores, and the sensor operates with a wavelength of 650 nm, offering a measurement accuracy with 30µm repeatability.
