Panasonic AFP0RC16P is a CPU unit designed for automation applications, part of the C16 sub-range. It functions as an integrated Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) CPU unit with transistor outputs, featuring memory backup and self-diagnostic capabilities. It utilizes a MIL connector and mini USB for connections and is mounted on a DIN rail. The communication protocol supported is RS-232. This unit can handle up to 112 x I/O points and 3 x expansion units. It has a memory capacity of 16K steps for programs and 12315words / 12Kwords for data, supporting up to 4096 x I/O points. The digital inputs include 8 x 24Vdc sink/source inputs, with 6 x high-speed 50kHz counters, and the digital outputs comprise 8 x 24Vdc PNP 200mA transistor outputs, including 4 x 50kHz pulse outputs/axes plus 4 x 4.8kHz, 1000 resolution PWM channels. It also features 6 x analog inputs for RTD Pt100/Pt1000/Ni1000 and resistance, with resolutions of 0.1K/°F and 0.01K/°F. Programming languages supported are Ladder diagram (LD), Structured text (ST), Function block diagram (FBD), Sequential function chart (SFC), and Instruction list (IL). It includes protection functions like an 8-character password setting and program upload protection. The processing time varies from 80ns/step for basic instructions up to 3000 steps, to 1620ns/step for high-level instructions after 3000 steps. Operating modes include periodical interrupt execution, interrupt program execution, constant scan execution, and program edition during RUN download in RUN mode.
